THE NEED TO SPEAK POSITIVELY ABOUT NIGERIA.

THE NEED TO SPEAK POSITIVELY ABOUT NIGERIA
: God created the world by words. By His words all things came into being for the meaningful existence of mankind. During creation God said “let there be light and there was light”. Thus through God’s command expressed by His words, all things came into being.

In addition, the Holy Bible stated that Life and death are in the power of the tongue; which we express through what we say. This is true as God’s words cannot be altered.

By words, friendships are developed. Also by words enmity is developed. By words appointments are made. By words one is removed from positions of authority. By words promotions are made. Also by words curses are rendered against one. By words, wars are declared and by words, wars are declared over.

The import of the above is that we should be careful by the words

NIGERIA’S ECONOMIC RECESSION- A CALL FOR GENUINE REPENTANCE AND PRAYERS.
The Holy Bible recorded that if my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and call upon me, I will hear their cry and answer them from above. This is a clarion call or message for all Nigerians to imbibe in this period of recession we have found ourselves.

Nigeria’s economic recession has permeated into the fabrics of the psyche of Nigerians. In this period of the economic recession cost of living including feeding has increased astronomical and other costs are soaring high every day. Today, receiving gifts from relations and friends are not easy to come by. Also Church offerings are reducing as well.

It is a well known fact that there is the God factor in leadership including political leadership and governance. God makes and dethrone leaders. Nigerians should recognize the Divine power in governance.

CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME; IS APT NOW

CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME; IS APT NOW:
On Thursday 8th September 2016 our President Muhammadu Buhari launched a value re –orientation programme tagged “Change Begins With Me”. During the launching the President stated amongst other things that “the nation’s value system has been badly eroded over the years, and that virtues like honesty, integrity, hard-work, punctuality, good-neighbourliness, abhorrence of corruption and patriotism, had given way to dishonesty, indolence, unbridled corruption and widespread impunity”.

Change begins with me is a value creation programme. It is a self driving positive value towards human development and enhancement. The creation of the world by God endowed in man all the creative energy to unleash greatness on planet earth through man’s further inventions. Man is uniquely made by God to fulfill one’s purpose on this planet earth; this purpose is achievable through a change person via mind development.

Recall that in the past, our Nigerian

REPRESENTATION ENTAILS ACCOUNTABILITY

Written by James Okere

In any national governance when representation is imbued with transformational leadership values, then accountable leadership will promote transparent governance for societal benefits.

By stoke of God’s design, we have the select few who represents the governed. The representatives demonstrate leadership traits and impact the governed through the instrumentality of state power.

In a democracy, the people stamp the authority of the representatives by voting them into power. Thus the state powered authority bestowed on the representatives could be withdrawn by the people through legitimate means like recall or electioneering processes.

With the authority of the people in terms of electing representatives, the people are therefore marked out for special governmental empowerment by the select few vide acquisition of state power, demonstrated through visionary programmes.

The position of man in the polity aroused the inspirational leadership quality of Abraham Lincoln to define democracy “as the government of the people by the

Written by James Okere

“We (Nigerians), shall make sacrifice if we indeed want our country- Nigeria to make genuine progress vide this current 2014 NATIONAL CONFERENCE”.  James Okere.

In the light of the above, and for the love I have for my country- Nigeria, I present my MEMO to the 2014 National Conference as stated below.

1. RECOGNIZE SIX GEO-POLITICAL ZONE: I suggest that the present six geo-political zones; North Central, North East, North West, South East, South South and South West be recognized and enshrined in the constitution of Nigeria.

2. STATE CREATION: I support the idea of creating more States in Nigeria. Let each of the six geo-political zones in Nigeria have eight states. The zones will have the mandate to agree on the final composition of each State within the particular geo-political zone and report same to the national conference.

3. ABOLISH BICAMERAL LEGISLATURE: I advocate we have only one National
